Award winning Native American composer, Gareth Laffely is of Mi’kmaq/Cree descent and is licensed with the Discovery Channel, The History Channel, A & E, and PBS. He is the youngest composer to reach #2 on the Billboard New Age top 100 chart, (second only to Enya). Gareth was also #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and has won the Rising Star award from the Native American Music Awards. His music is featured on NPR’s Heart’s of Space, Music Choice Network’s Soundscapes channel, Great American Country Network, and radio stations worldwide. He has composed and recorded with George Lucas’s SkyWalker Symphony, and scored and composed the music for the award winning Thundering Hooves documentary films, “Their Last Ride”,“The Saddle of Hope”, and “A Horses’ Prayer”. His work can be found in the Peace Corp documentary film, “ A Towering Task”, as well as on the IMAX screen in the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, and feature films such as Black Wood and The Contested Plains.
